Reset Forgotten Windows Password
If you are already logged into Windows account then you can easily follow the steps here to change the password for that or any other desired account without knowing the current one. However, this procedure won’t work if you are locked out. In that scenario follow the steps below.
1. As you cannot access your PC you will have to use another one. On that computer download PCUnlocker from their official website. They do have a free trial version and the premium version is priced at $19.95.
2. The downloaded folder will have an ISO file which you have to mount on a CD or USB drive. In order to do that, use the following link to download ISO2Disc. This software will help you to easily create a bootable USB or CD Drive.
After ISO2Disc has installed launch it and choose the PCUnlocker ISO file as the source and select CD or USB as the destination. After making these selections click on Start Burn.
3. Once the CD or USB drive is ready, come back to your PC where you have forgotten the password. By default Windows boots using Hard drive so to change it press the key for Boot Options(usually F2) when PC starts and select Removable Devices or CD Drive as desired.
4. When you boot PC using the CD or USB created above you should see the following PCUnlocker screen.
Select the user account for which you wish to change the password and click on Reset Password.
With this, the password for that particular user account will be removed.
Restart the PC and you will be able to sign in without a password.
